Sisters and Brothers,
Please be advised that the National Oil Bargaining Policy Committee has approved the attached offer as the minimum settlement on the issues covered by the 2026 National Oil Bargaining Program. Locally, British Petroleum continues to maintain that they are not obligated to follow the “pattern”.
Today, the company passed a counter proposal to their “Base Wages” proposal that included, among other things, base wage cuts across every job classification. We will continue to bargain in good faith to reach a fair and equitable contract. But we will not accept concessionary proposals that call for job elimination, wage reductions, and the waiver of contractual and legal bargaining rights.
The Bargaining Committee will continue to work throughout the weekend, and we ask that you continue to report to work as scheduled, remain focused on keeping each other safe, and continue to send a clear message to management that we demand a fair contract.
Make every effort to attend the February 10th informational meeting where, if we do not have a tentative agreement, we will focus on important contract negotiation updates and preparation for a possible work stoppage.
In Solidarity,
USW Local 7-1 Board of Directors
